Pay your team right. See what labour costs you today.
Worksauce reads your rostering, payroll and point-of-sale systems. It checks every pay run against the Award each staff member is on, and puts wages next to sales through the day. A pay gap or an overstaffed shift shows up that week, not when the accountant sends the month through.
| Employee | Calculated | Paid | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Priya N. | $1,412.88 | $1,376.40 | −$36.48 |
| Tom W. | $842.10 | $842.10 | $0.00 |
| Leah M. | $716.35 | $704.25 | −$12.10 |

Pick what you're after, then the kind of business you run.
A group with twelve venues and a one-restaurant Owner don't lose sleep over the same things, so each has its own page.
Keeping pay right
Worksauce checks every pay run against each staff member's Award, shift by shift, and shows who was paid under or over and by how much.
Running the floor and labour
Sales from your point of sale sit next to wages from your rostering system, so you see labour as a share of sales during the day, not when payroll runs.
-
Multi-venue groups
Each venue's labour cost and labour % side by side, a column for each day.
-
Restaurants
Tonight's labour against sales for the kitchen, floor and bar, and next week's roster against a forecast.
-
Quick service and franchises
Labour % hour by hour, rostered against actual, with a target for each section.
It reads the systems you already run.
Keep rostering, running pay and taking orders the way you do now. Worksauce reads from those systems and puts the numbers side by side.
Every pay run checked against each staff member's Award.
Labour cost as a share of sales, by the hour and by section.
Award compliance needs only your rostering and payroll systems. Labour cost against sales needs your sales, from your point of sale or a CSV upload.
Questions from hospitality businesses
More on connecting your systems, setup and your data in the FAQ, or ask us.
Which hospitality Awards does Worksauce check?
The Hospitality Industry (General) Award, the Restaurant Industry Award and the Fast Food Industry Award. During setup Worksauce suggests an Award and classification for each staff member, and you confirm or correct them.
Which systems does it connect to?
Rosters and timesheets come from Tanda, Deputy or Employment Hero, pay runs from Tanda, Employment Hero or Xero, and sales from Square or Lightspeed. Without one of those point-of-sale systems, you can upload sales as a CSV file.
Do I need to connect my point of sale?
No. Award compliance needs only your rostering and payroll systems. Labour cost against sales needs your sales, from Square, Lightspeed or a CSV upload.
Our venues are in different states. Does that matter?
No. Each venue has its own state and time zone, and Worksauce uses the public holidays of the state each shift was worked in. You can give a venue Manager their own venue's figures and no one else's.
Does the sales forecast use bookings or the weather?
No. Worksauce suggests each day's sales from the same weekday over the last five weeks, leaving out public holidays. If you know a function or a wet night is coming, change that day's forecast.
